I used to collect game consoles during the last decade, but when the prices skyrocketed, I just stuck with what I had at the moment and haven't done any other purchases since (except for a PS3 game or two).

My Dreamcast and PS1 collections got pretty big during that time, but that's about it. All other systems got less than a dozen of games each.

I hear ya! My brother has acquired some gems over the years like a Sega Nomad and a Panasonic 3DO. 

You are right, in the last couple years classic consoles have become a craze. Even N64 games are fetching a hefty pricetag these days

@Echidna64: Conker's Bad Fur Day and Harvest Moon 64's prices are ridiculous. But you can't emulate the first one (to a playable level anyway) and the other one behaves like if it was programmed by fifteen drunken monkeys on an emulator, so I guess we have no choice
