For me, I find that a lot of shows that I have memories of watching with the parents that were intended for an audience older than I, hold up really well actually.

Like recently I've been plowing through episodes of Baa Baa Blacksheep and others, and am really digging them.  Some shows from before my time like Rat Patrol, I'm watching for the first time and really like them.  All we watch in this house is retro stuff, outside of some live sports.

As an example, a typical evening after homework is done, we watch a little Saved By the Bell with the kids, and some Andy Griffith.  Once the kids go on about their business, the wife and I settle in with old comedies like Night Court, Seinfeld, Newhart and other shows like Dukes of Hazzard, CHiPs, A-Team, and Baa Baa Blacksheep.  We mix it up some though and throw in BJ and the Bear, Happy Days, Wonder Years, Matlock, Laverne and Shirley among others.

For me, they seem to all hold up just fine.  Older cartoons on the other hand, not so much....with the exception of Smurfs, Snorks, He-Man, and GI Joe.  The kids dig those as well.

I watched it a bit but came to the conclusion that for the most part, classic programming from my past was much better in my memory, and not in the present.

Unfortunately there are a lot of programs that fall in that category for me. Shows that I loved, and still do, but they just don't hold up well today. Thankfully there are others that still do.

Shows like TMNT and Beast Wars really haven't aged well lol

Power Rangers and Sabrina the Teenage Witch are still pretty good imho
