They do too many cliffhangers on the show now to the point where it's not even suspenseful or exciting anymore. Now it's just disappointing and you just think "ok, i guess i have to wait until the next episode/season whatever".They've done it a bunch of times with glenn, they've done it with rick, they've done it a couple of times with carl, they did it last week with daryl and now another character that you have to wait until the next season in october to find out who it is. 

A cliffhanger every now and then is fine and can be great and suspenseful but when it's as much as they do on the walking dead it's just boring and lazy.

But it was still a good episode.
