They're very entertaining, aren't they?

What's your type of teen movie, hmm? Maybe you'd prefer one about a nerd trying to win a popular girl's heart. Or one about a remorseless killer slaying youngsters one by one.

I like them all. I love the 80's and 90's teen movies, and even the ones from the early 2000's. 

Sure I enjoyed the slasher films of the 80's, and the teen dramas like The Breakfast Club. I loved the kooky humor of 80's teen comedies, like Better Off Dead and One Crazy Summer.

I still like ones where the main protagonist turns into a wolf, but I suppose that was more of a one off than an actual genre.

Yeah... I think it's safe to say that was just a one time thing.

Well I suppose the argument could be made that it was a two time thing, but in my universe the sequel never happened.

A low point for Jason Bateman.

I love Better Off Dead.  I also love all of the John Hughes movie. I mean he is the god father of all modern day teen movies.

I guess I need to add that I've never seen Better Off Dead to the Shameful Retro Confessions post.

Mean Girls. Unashamedly love that movie.

John Hughes had a way of knowing teens. No wonder his movies did so well!
