I'm sure Vince required it as part of their contracts. I don't know how anyone could be excited after watching the first match. Lesnar messed the Undertaker up so bad with that concussion it was just terrible to watch. Not only did Lesnar make the Undertaker look old and weak, he actually physically hurt the man. I really don't want to see The Undertaker go out looking like an old man chump.

I agree.  I have never been a big fan of the character, but I do like the idea of guys going out with their image intact.  I really hope we don't feel like we've just watch an old man almost die by the end of the match.

Leave with some dignity. Win or lose a match, you always want to leave with dignity.

@comic_book_fan:

As much I liked WCW, I was more of a WWE guy  in the 90s.

I think 'Taker would have been doing himself a favor to semi-retire about 10 years ago. I haven't watched him wrestle in the last 10 years, but as slow as he was the last time I saw him wrestle, I can only imagine what it must look like now.

I dunno. In 2005, he looked to have had a little more energy than what he has now.

@massreality The reason I want to see it because that last match was so lame, thanks to the concussion. I want them make good on that terrible end to the streak by giving us an all out brawl with Undertaker going out on top and then announcing his retirement. The pull apart segment on RAW was pretty awesome, so that got me excited.

BTW if anybody commenting here does not listen to the We Watch Wrestling podcast, you are missing out. Better than Colt Cabana, Jericho or Stone Cold, it's consistently hilarious and delves a lot into the "good ol' days" of pro wrestling.
