Fallout 3 was one of my favorite games of the past 15 years. Now, Fallout 4 has been revealed. I'm REALLY looking forward to leaving the Vault, one more time.

And I still haven't played the 1st one. I feel like I'm missing out on something big.

Don't bother with the first 2. While good in their own right, skipping to the best of the bunch (3) is no issue. You don't need to have any prior knowledge of the first two for the third to make sense. It stands on its own.

I prefer New Vegas to FO3.3 has much better songs on the radio, though.

I couldn't get into New Vegas as much as I did FO3. Not that it wasn't good. It certainly was. I just didn't feel as entertained by the storyline I suppose. Maybe I didn't play far enough into it.

Isn't the series known for having an oldies soundtrack?

They use a lot of old music. But you have the option of having the radio on or not. Loved both Fallout 3 and New Vegas. I still play them and discover new stuff.

Its a lot of public domain and low license music too. This way they don't have to pay very much. Its a smart business model and the music is somewhat catchy. Blowing off heads to Cole Porter singing Anything Goes is actually quite fun.

Fallout 4 arrives! Really looking forward to this one.

I played the third one, and while I thought it was alright I really don't care about the new one coming out. I probably pick it up a few years from now at a lower price.
