I saw it and my brain shut off when the line "...they have a certain skill set..." was uttered. Oh boy, let's take a great line from an action movie and run it into the ground. The movie looks like ADHD hot garbage.

Exactly Debris. Also, am I the only one that found it unintentionally hilarious when he says he thinks they are extreme athletes like him? I crack up at that line every time.

I'm watching the original on DVD.

My folks gave it to me for a Christmas gift.

One more month till this unnecessary remake.

I love the original movie.  There was no need for a remake of this of Point Break.

This could receive the same treatment the Jem and the Holograms movie did.

Let us talk about it some more. This new movie stars Teresa Palmer, Tobias Santelmann, and Edgar Ramirez as Bodhi, a role originally slated to be filled by Gerard Butler. It was filmed in locations on four continents and features a variety of extreme sports stunts, not just surfing. A stunt double broke his jaw while surfing. Kurt Wimmer wrote the screenplay. The release date was changed twice and is now scheduled for Christmas day, but it will come out on December 3 in China.
