World's First Monster? I'm thinking King Kong which for this game would mean the remake 1976.
Also, King Kong breaks through a door Any other ideas? I would say Jaws but the noticeable lack of bigger boat references is disturbing |
My first thought was monsters in closets, but I don't know if that's a reference to anything (besides Monsters Inc, of course).
The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

Final Countdown? 1987 and onward is out then.

Search not the darkness of those years before the world's first monster rolled out the door.
Monsters have been around in legends for centuries, literature for over a hundred years, and film for nearly one hundred. King Kong doesn't even come close to the first film monster. There are several silent films before 1900 to feature monsters. Of the Universal Monsters that you probably recognize the Hunchback of Notre Dame was in 1923 a full decade before King Kong. The Phantom of the Opera, Dracula, Frankenstein, Mr. Hyde, and the Mummy all beat Kong before 1933. This contest is limited to the 70s, 80s, and 90s so I don't think any qualify and I don't think it refers to the 1976 Kong remake. It is well known that Vaporman is a huge Godzilla fan but I can't see how he could work either. I think Monsters Inc would be plausible but because it is outside the range at 2001 maybe something more like Little Monsters 1989 for film (that I understand has a plot nearly identical to Monsters Inc but I haven't seen it) or My Pet Monster for toys from 1986 could be what the clue is about. |

Bigfoot was the first monster truck to crush cars around 1981. Bigfoot was built in 1975. Could be what the "rolled out the door" part of the clue refers to. |

Mercer Mayer's Little Monster book series starts in 1977.
Little Critter series is 1975. |

Is it 1986.

The Bigfoot truck seems like the most plausible theory so far.
