Seeing G4 make a comeback is... surprising to say the least. It feels like the commitment to having the channel be about video games didn't even really last for a few years before becoming a Spike TV clone of a bunch of COPS reruns. Last time I even watched anything G4 was when they did the Top 100 Video Games list of all time, and even that had questionable entries. So to see it become what it used to be before the TechTV merger, where shortly afterwards, Comcast completely dropped the gaming monkier of the channel almost feels like hell freezing over (then again, that sounds normal for 2020). It would almost be like if MTV suddenly ceased to exist, and then a few years later, it makes a comeback, and suddenly starts being all about music videos like it was in the 80s and 90s.

Also, what's this coming back in the form of? If it's in the form of a cable channel, I don't see it taking off. A 24 hour video game TV channel was a neat concept in 2002, but now with gaming media pretty much being in the form on the internet, I don't really see people subscribing to a dedicated gaming TV channel. I mean, I guess if you're subscribed to digital cable, it might be nice to see a channel like G4 being offered again. But I can't picture it adding anything new to the amount of gaming content already being posted on the internet.

Boomerang is having a Bugs Bunny birthday marathon tomorrow.

Hopefully, they do a June Bugs marathon sometime.

@Ben: I used to watch G4 TV and X-Play. 

I really liked G4 for what it was, especially Attack of the Show and Ninja Warrior (the original). Their Comic Con coverage was by far THE BEST. Their "movies that don't suck" series was okay too if you wanted to watch like a heavily censored Robocop lol

Unfortunately, I never understood why their wasn't more original content, especially with Esports or Let's Plays.

same here! and I loved their game history show, icons ^^

My friend and I had a talk about this and we came to the conclusion that it can work on something like PlutoTV and as a channel on Youtube. My hopes for what comes back outside of Attack of The Show and X-Play is that we get MXC back and some other video game shows and whatnot.

well if cartoonist butch hartman couldn't bring himself any lower falling from grace, he has a new christian cartoon short series called "the garden", currently having six episodes, and each one around six minutes long, but you have to pay to watch the shorts. how much? $130, and they're all on a google drive page.

I remember watching G4 when it first came out, had a mild crush on Diane Mizota
