If anyone wants some real life stupidity, over the course of the past week I've been contacted by the two stupidest phone phishing scams I have ever heard of.

The phone call with the water company is probably the most hilarious of the two. Because you haven't paid your water company, they're going to shut down your cable TV? Yeah, because I'm sure whoever owns your water also owns your cable? Plus, having your cable bill shut down is totally going to stop you from wasting water. Am I right?

The weaker of the two was from my local water company saying that if I don't pay my bill immediately, my cable was going to get turned off within a half hour.

The better one was from the company Microsoft saying that they've been trying to contact me for weeks. Apparently they are going to revoke my license because my IP Address has been severely compromised by several countries and thus I immediately have to make a payment through them in order to have my Wi-Fi restored.

I almost want to pay these people just for giving me a laugh.
