"If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

One of my favorite Elvis Presley songs. |

Here's a cool retro Annette Funicello music video.

It's a very good song, but why was that on the Disney channel?

Mr Magic wrote : I know a lot of the history behind Annette Funicello's career from having been a fan of her for so long, so I can answer that question. Most of Annette's music came from Disney's Buena Vista record label. That's because before starring in the Beach Party films in the '60s, Annette was best known as one of the more popular original Mouseketeers on The Mickey Mouse Club. In fact, Annette's entire singing career spawned from a song that she sang on The Mickey Mouse Club. A lot of the kids watching the show wrote in asking where they could buy her record, prompting Walt Disney to convince her to go into a singing career. Here's "How Will I Know My Love," the song she sang on The Mickey Mouse Club that ended up appearing on her first record. |

Here's another important oldie. When you hear the words, you'll know why it's important.
"If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

I think I need a hug! |
I've always been fond of that song, too, Mr. Magic.

Yes, it makes me think of how the world should be right now.
I just love doo-wop. "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."
