Comic strips | Isn't it funny how in the first comic strip, Garfield says "Feed me" and then 10 years later he still says "Feed me" like nothing's changed? <img style="width: 775px; height: 525px;" src="/images/postImages/ga880619.gif"> | Mr Magic | Jun 15, 2013 | ![]()
What annoys you? | Heh, I actually had to deal with a more opposite effect in my apartment. The people who live next door where I live complained to me recently that I was making too much noise at night. To be honest, I'm not really that loud at the apartment. There was one time where I was having just a very basic conversation with my sister in the living room at night, and the neighbors next door were banging on the wall. Part of this I believe is due to the fact that their living room/bedroom is right next to the wall of my living room, and they can hear us whenever we make any type of sound that makes noise. I also think part of their complaints was when I had a few friends stay for a couple nights as they were attending Google I/O. There were some parts where they were blowing up their air mattresses, which causes a really loud sound. I jokingly remarked that the noise might disturb the neighbors. Though, when they complained the next week that "I made too much noise all week long", I think that was one of the things that resulted in this. That, and during some of the parts where we had just very basic conversations... and yes the neighbors next door was banging hard on the wall during some of this. Point being... my next door neighbors are way oversensitive. Again, I hardly make noises in the apartment, yet, during the day, they make all the noise they want. I don't ever complain... yet, anytime I ever make some type of noise in the living room, even if it's a simple as talking, they complain about it. It pisses me off so much, especially since when they complain about it... I'm the one who gets in trouble since the living room is basically where I live in. | blueluigi | Jun 15, 2013 | ![]()
Comic strips | I have a reprint of that first comic in one of those Garfield comic collections books. I remember when I read it as a kid. I tried to draw the "old Garfield". The one thing I noticed about them was their small eyes. | pikachulover | Jun 15, 2013 | ![]()
What annoys you? | Let's see... When my apartment neighbor blasts Psy for 90 minutes non-stop. Get some headphones or something. I hate that too about video comments. Or all that stupid "Thumbs up if you are listening to this in 2013". People who give you vague instructions and get mad because you didn't follow them "correctly". Job ads that only want good looking people. I'm very homely looking, and I never realized how adversely that affected my job hunt. | pikachulover | Jun 15, 2013 | ![]()
UPDATED: June 20th - Doomsday Machine Premiere | It's really too bad people can't pop in and out of the theater. With everyone living in different time zones and with a multitude of life circumstances going on it's nearly impossible to coordinate sit down movie time. I can't even watch a movie at a certain time by myself haha. Although the theater seems so awesome, I'm dying to see what's its like inside! | vkimo | Jun 15, 2013 | ![]()

UPDATED: June 20th - Doomsday Machine Premiere | Sucks to hear someone else could've joined us. This site needs a chat room or something so you can have instant communication in cases like that. So whats the plan for next week? | dudebro | Jun 15, 2013 | ![]()
Read Alongs | Moudy pointed out to me that there is no way to make the Read-Alongs simply play in a browser since the files themselves are .exe (executable files) and not just Flash files. | Vaporman87 | Jun 15, 2013 | ![]()

Who was your pop culture mentor? | Hmmm. That's hard to say for certain. I think in many ways my experiences and some friends were big influences in my passions for nostalgic thought. But I think what made me feel like it was "okay" to cherish and reflect openly on the past and what made it great with regard to pop culture and such, is the X-Entertainment website. Matt's in-depth look at really odd, peculiar, and obscure items and events of the past really inspired me to try and capture that spirit for myself, and for others (via sites like this). I credit him with igniting the spark that brought this site to the masses (if by masses we are referring to any amount of people over 1). | Vaporman87 | Jun 14, 2013 | ![]()
