2964LingosIt depends on the time frame. In the 80's I was using words like "psyche!" and "eat one" and "josh off". A friend of mine had a lingo so predictable that I had kind of adopted a whole series of them and used them together as a single phrase. "What up? You be suckin'. You laugh but hey..."Vaporman87Jul 01, 2013View

2961Past Summer Vacationslol. Uh, it definitely is more common to see men do this. Although more likely in an alley, and a lower (or no)-income person. Notable when an affluent woman does it, yes absolutely. I would be offended to see it on the side of a building. Piss on the wall of my building and I will [want to] kick your ass. Use the gutter, storm drain, or dirt, please. Now the real question for me is, why don't your bars have (enough?) bathrooms. I'm a s'phistercated city folk, true, but I didn't know the gap from you countrified folks was still that wide. :Pshakin steakJul 01, 2013View
2960LingosIt's interesting. I guess the mechanical and pop-a-point pencils do use lead too (or rather, graphite) but it is the same stuff as in wood pencils. It reminds me of something that I have heard a lot, only as an adult, which is "ink pen".shakin steakJul 01, 2013View
2959LingosAbout the "lead pencils" I only called them that cause my friends did. I've been using that term on and off for about 20 years now, and my dad still has no idea what I'm talking about. I even used the term in a comic I wrote, but I lost the comic. I'll check my computer to see if I scanned it. <a href="http://www.youtube.com/all_comments?v=RDYoN5TIbV0"</a> Apparently it's not regional. I replied to this comment from a youtube video. 2958LingosI used to have a paper of such slang terms that was written by a beautiful and older drug addict woman I knew as a teenager. The term I remember most was "dirtnap" which is what you would be said to be taking when you were extremely tired (ie, similar to dead and in the ground.) It was funny and clever. Unfortunately, I don't have the paper any more. I left it, along with a full file cabinet of papers and some other things I wish I still had, once when I had to leave town with little time and little money. <blockquote rel="pikachulover"><b>pikachulover wrote :</b><br>Lead Pencils- any pencil that is not able to be sharpened. Ex. Mechanical pencils and pop-a-point pencils</blockquote>Funny! The exact opposite of the regular meaning, to me.shakin steakJul 01, 2013View
