3719 | Article | DirtyD79 | Pizza Hut's always been one of my favorite restaurants to eat at. I remember back int he 80s One of the promotional things they had was a pitcher with the Pizza Hut logo on it that you could buy with your order. We ended up getting one and had it for several years. They were white with a red lid and had the pizza hut logo on the side. We'd use it for Kool-Aid and iced tea until one day it just got too grungy and wouldn't come clean anymore. | Feb 01, 2017
4048 | Article | DirtyD79 | I loved the arcade game when I was a kid because of the whole turning into a wolf thing. The Sega Genesis we got was the one that came with Sonic the hedgehog but I got a copy of Altered Beast later. It's such a sin Project Altered Beast never made it to the US because it looks like it would have been pretty cool to play. | Altered Beast | Aug 18, 2017
4049 | Article | DirtyD79 | When I was a teenager I remember me and my brother got kicked out of a toys r us for riding bikes around the store and playing football in one of the aisles. Needless to say we got kicked out. Ironically several years later my brother would end up working at the toys r us we got kicked out of. As for KB what I liked about them was they were a decent place to get models and stuff like paint and glue for them. Toys R Us was decent too but they were kind of out of the way compared to the KB I normally went to. | Toy Store Dreams | Aug 18, 2017
4140 | Article | DirtyD79 | I was in college back then. I was asleep when it happened since it was my day off. My mom woke me up telling me I should come out and check out the news. That's how I found out about it. | Where Were You That September Day? | Sep 21, 2017
4141 | Article | DirtyD79 | Me and my brother went through the ninja phase too. I remember when we were teenagers we got some swords and knives at this one flea market up the street from us. I also remember for Halloween in 5th grade I dressed up as a ninja. I also wanted to take some karate classes but my parents never got around to signing me up. Eventually I became more interested in cars and model building instead. | Revenge of the Imaginary Ninjas! | Sep 21, 2017
4142 | Article | DirtyD79 | E.T. is the first movie I remember seeing in theaters when I was a kid. Me and my brother went with our grandma to this small single screen theater a few blocks away from our house to see it. I also remember there was a parade outside when we got out. I'm guessing the parade was for Fourth of July or something. We also had the E.T. Atari 2600 game. Surprisngly I actually liked it but then I was a little kid at the time. | Seeing E.T. 4184 | Article | DirtyD79 | In the early 2000s Burger King also had chili. I liked it better than Wendy's chili, unfortunately BK ended up dropping it from their line-up some time ago. | Retro Fast Food That is No More | Oct 29, 2017
4263 | Article | DirtyD79 | While personally I prefer small mom and pop type place for pizza, I always thought Pizza Hut was the best of the chain pizza shops. I remember we used to have this one pitcher Pizza Hut was giving out as a promotional item. We had it for nearly 10 years and kept on using it for Kool-Aid and iced tea until one day it just got too grungy to keep using. :( I also remember one time when I was a kid my Dad's bowling league did something pretty cool where all of us kids got to take a tour of a pizza hut and make our own small personal pan pizzas. It's such a sin to see the sit down restaurants going away. They had a style all their own and definitely look a lot better than the boring boxes that pass for restaurants these days. | When Pizza Hut Was King | Jan 04, 2018
4264 | Article | DirtyD79 | I don't think anybody I know ever played Mouse Trap seriously. Me and my brother always just set up the trap to watch it do all the stuff like in the commercial and after a couple times that just got boring. I forget what we ended up doing with it. It's probably buried in a closet or in the basement somewhere. | Five 90’s Toys That Never Lived Up to the Hype | Jan 04, 2018
4265 | Article | DirtyD79 | I still remember the one from the late 70s and early 80s telling you "Don't drown your food." OK, what condiment related disaster was happening on such a scale that it needed a PSA? Were kids injuring themselves with ketchup bottles back then? | Memories of PDFA, and other PSA’s | Jan 04, 2018 |
