3653ArticleRick Ace RhodesNice article MassReality! I've often wondered what it must of been like for a video store clerk back in the day. I'm sure like all clerk jobs it offered customers that were annoying, odd or actually interesting. It's a shame that technology has made things like this obsolete. It may have made our lives more convenient, but it removed some of the fun that once was involved in the inconvenience. My father loves to tell this story of how on Saturday's him and his friends would go out to the mall, drink and eat, and then spend the day in the record store digging through shelves and looking to see what cool records were in stock. Now and days that's all removed, you can just go to iTunes and find what you want. I've often wondered: why are new video releases released on Tuesdays? Even today new movies on DVD and Blu-Ray are often released on Tuesdays. Is it because Sunday's usually aren't business days and so Monday's have to be used to instead ship and receive them in stores to be put out on shelves? The Video Store ClerkJan 02, 2017View
2729ArticleVaporman87Nice article on Mr. Richards. I always felt a little bad for him. He saw his star rise so high and fall so low. He was a favorite character of mine in UHF (I never watched Seinfeld). When I heard about his outburst at the comedy club, it seemed to me that he had imploded. But stars have come back from worse mistakes, so time will tell. But yes, as far as the present is concerned, he seems pretty washed up.Washed Up Celebrities: Michael RichardsSep 30, 2015View

However, you might have sparked a new controversy this contest- is it retro? The Post-Christmas Video Game MarathonDec 10, 2015View
5531ArticleoniparNice article! Don't know how I missed this one. I had the NES and then the Genesis too. Were always late adopters, so by time I was choosing, it was between the Genesis and the SNES. For whatever reason, the Genesis really captured my attention and that was the one I begged for, finally getting it as a graduation present from elementary school. I never did own my own SNES as a kid (got one as an adult when I started collecting), but my neighbor had one, so I got to experience a little of the main games at least. 2049ArticleOldSchool80sNice article! I fondly remember the Ninja trilogy featuring Sho Kosugi. I think I did an issue on those myself once upon a time. But you are right about Cannon being such a big part of cheesy 80s action flicks. An Ode to Cannon FilmsFeb 24, 2015View
