4973ArticleVaporman87Man... that anniversary flew right under the radar didn't it. At least it gave you the opportunity to dig into the finer points of a piece of it's library. Well done. Jul 19, 2019View
3435ArticleVaporman87Man... I have so many stories that they would surely make this site's code explode with so much text. LOL I've done everything from accidentally fart while exercising in gym class to wearing the most horrendous sweater ever created by man to school. It's not always been easy being me. 2301ArticleVaporman87Man... here we are in the slow doldrums of Summer, yet echidna manages to come along and bring us a truly great article. I loved reading this. I had done a little research on Winsor McCay prior to reading this article, so I knew a little about what I might read. It was great to get it from your perspective though, as it gives me a much better appreciation for Little Nemo. I can relate with everything you mention regarding dreams, how they have changed, and how they can make us feel. McCay used his talent to really tap into those experiences in a potent way. We all dream, so nobody is excluded from the subject matter. Thanks echidna! This made my day. Little NemoJun 08, 2015View
1130ArticleVaporman87Man. This is what I love about this site and others like it. That chance to peak into the pasts of others and experience the spirit and passion of those good times. This Suddenly Summer contest has truly brought out some of the most well written, passionate, and stirring reads yet. Benson feels like a place I could call home. With a small population (Rutland has around 400), a General Store (just as you described, the still functioning store that just scrapes by meeting the needs of the locals (and has since the 1870's), and the beauty of the water (I live just minutes from the Ohio River). Benson could be Rutland, and vice versa. Thank you so much for sharing this. Summer at the LakeJun 16, 2014View
3930ArticleVaporman87Man. Still can't believe we actually lived in a time when M.C. Hammer was not only famous, but actually spawned figures and a cartoon. If not any other time, surely that time would have been the right one for complete reality implosion. Antique Store Finds: RebornJun 08, 2017View
1320ArticleVaporman87Man. Just look at that section of Masters of the Universe stuff. If only I could ACTUALLY go back in time and just buy every bit of it. So much coolness. So much money. :) This was a fun adventure Hoj... I mean, Dr. Timewarp. Thank you for taking us on it. Now if I can just figure out where that Man-E-Faces costume is these days, and have the person who owns it sell it to me.Timewarp: Toys R Us 1987Sep 24, 2014View

You and Ravenloft standing out front of all these attractions definitely gave off that Shining vibe haha, as for your story well...I've scheduled you an appointment with a therapist next TuesdayHaunted Hotel an 11 year old's narrativeAug 27, 2017View
2494ArticleVaporman87Man, you guys really knew how to take full advantage of a Saturday! So many great activities and games. I see a great many similarities to my own Saturday exploits. Sure, the activities may have been different, but it was really only about getting in time with your friends and neighbors and making the most of being free from school. We used to take Nerf basketballs,(the soft, vinyl, stuffed kind) wrap them in duct tape, and hit them with wooden bats in a game of Home Run Derby. If we could hit the ball onto the roof of our building (which was tall enough to fit an RV in), then it was a Home Run. Travel in the woods, wrestle with pillows, play video games, record ourselves on cassette tape or video, etc., etc. So much fun to be had on a sunny Saturday. I get to do all new things now that I have kids. I can be a part of their own favorite things about a Saturday, and it is a blessing. A Mid-90's Saturday With c_b_fAug 10, 2015View
3282ArticleVaporman87Man, who DIDN'T want some sweet, themed bunk bed set up. I would have loved to have had a set up bunk beds like what is available today. So many varieties, and with some really cool features. Like you, it would have been pretty pointless for me to have bunk beds. It was just me and my sister for one part of my childhood (and we had separate rooms), and me and my brother for the rest (but we just had a queen bed in the basement). By the time I was living with my dad, I was not really interested in having a bunk bed. We did have a set of bunk beds for the boys for a few years here. But we did away with them recently (the top bunk never got used).Bunk BedsJan 19, 2016View
