1520ArticleNLoganMy favorite growing up was Wolverine also but pre-1990. Back when you only had to collect ONE book to see him, Uncanny X-men. Maybe, he had a cameo in a couple of other books during the whole year. If you picked up around 80 or so non X-men appearances in other books (including his mini-series, Secret Wars, Marvel Universe, Wolverine and Kitty Pryde, and a bunch of guest shots, or comedy books that weren't even canon)you had a complete Logan collection from his first appearance in 1974 to 1988 when he got his first on-going solo series. Now-a-days it seems like he is in 80 different books each month. When I was a kid tops I had holds for titles in my pull list at the local comic shop for Uncanny X-men, Classic X-Men, Wolverine Mini, Wolverine, Incredible Hulk, and Amazing Spider-Man and I would pick up whatever extra that caught my eye while picking up said books in the store. I quit collecting during the no nose bone claws feral Wolverine era in the early 90s. If I were to do a favorites list of comic characters I think I would throw some villains in there as well as I like some of them better than the heroes. My Top 5 Favorite Comic Book CharactersNov 19, 2014View
1528ArticleNLoganGleaming the Cube was awesome. Tony Hawk is the guy with the Pizza Hut truck. I always wanted a Powell Peralta Skull and Snake McGill board, or the Tony Hawk Skull board but never got one. I had a relatively obscure Bob Reeves Airbourne deck with a dragon on skulls with Independant trucks and either OJ or Slimeball wheels. At one point I had Gull wing trucks. Before that I had a Nash board from either K-Mart or Shopko I can't remember. I drew all kinds of skate designs on my school folders and had stickers in my locker. I sprained my ankle getting a signature from Tony Hawk at a vert demo. I always wore either my checkered vans or my black ones. I never did get into the MC Hammer skater pants though. My little brother turned out to be a way better skater than I ever was. I bought him a Zero board with three skulls on it and matching helmet and knee pads.Skate or DieNov 25, 2014View

1583ArticleNLogan Raiden was my favorite from Big Trouble in Little China. Shang Tsung was my favorite from the movie not because I liked it, But because I met the actor Carey Hiroyuki Tagawa and he was awesome and a super nice guy. As for the video game I never played it much preferring to spend my quarters elsewhere. It never came out on the original NES that I rocked until college. Mortal Kombat MemoriesDec 10, 2014View
1586ArticleNLoganRaiden (game spelling) and lightning from the three storms are way cooler than Rayden (movie and comic book spelling). Rai and den means thunder and lightning in Japanese, and is based off of Raijin the Shinto thunder and lightning god. He looks just like the Taoist god of thunder and has the Chinese character for thunder on his uniform. Mortal Kombat MemoriesDec 10, 2014View
1595ArticleNLoganMy 9 year old is in the know about Santa this year. He wanted a really expensive gift that I can't afford right now. I didn't want him to be disappointed so I told him it probably wasn't going to happen. He immediately replies with,"No problem dad, I got it covered. I'll just ask Santa." My heart dropped into my stomach. I debated using the old, "You're lucky to have gotten anything at all with how you've been all year" that was used on me as a kid, but he is pretty good and not a trouble maker at all. I clued him in about why we give gifts and that Santa was a way for parents to give a little extra joy to their kids. I started out by telling him that Santa lives in our hearts not the north pole. I think he took it well. He then proceeded with the Xbox on down, "Was that you then yhat gave me that?" I told him I am waking him up and he has to help with the Santa duties and wrap his brother's gifts. He is excited to be in the secret club and get his share of Santa's milk and cookies.1990 - The Year Santa DiedDec 10, 2014View
