Nostalgic Munchies: Retro-Inspired Recipes

How's it hanging everyone? I hope you're hungry, because I have a bunch of retro inspired recipes to show you guys! These are some super tasty Recipes that I'm will enjoy! So without further Ado, let's get rolling!

Chokey Chicken from Rocko's Modern Life by Feast of Fiction

Starting off, we have Feast of fiction making a real life version of chokey chicken from Rocko's Modern Life. Thankfully, you don't have to worry about choking on the chicken itself. Rather, the choke Factor comes when spices that they used. I haven't made this recipe yet, but I would love to make it someday. Now why a wallaby and a steer would be eating chicken when both of them are herbivores in real life, I'll never know. Oh well! On to the next recipe!

Tetris chicken nuggets by Hellthy Junk Food

Next, we have a recipe for chicken nuggets shaped like tetriminos, made by a YouTube channel that I'm sure show me you guys are familiar with: Hellthy Junk Food. Normally, the host of this channel, JP and Julia, usually make king size versions of your favorite fast food dishes. But this time around they're making video game inspired dishes. Tetris is one of my favorite puzzle games, and chicken nuggets are one of my favorite Comfort Foods. Meaning that this recipe is the best of both worlds! So if you need a tasty snack to eat while you're playing Tetris 99, these will be perfect!

 X-Men pretzels by Rosanna Pansino

I'm sure a lot of you have heard of Rosanna Pansino, or Ro for short, before. She's the host of the YouTube cooking show, Nerdy Nummies, where is she makes lots of nerdy recipes, excluding this recipe for X-Men pretzels. These pretzels look so good, I would love to make them someday. If you are a fan of the X-Men cartoon show, I recommend giving this recipe a try.

Yoshi's Cookies by Jammy Cooks

When Yoshi isn't chowing down on fruit, he sometimes has a hankering for cookies! Thankfully for Yoshi, and everyone else with a sweet tooth, Jammy (pronounce Hammy) from Jammy Cooks, has made four tasty cookie recipes inspired by the classic NES game, Yoshi's cookies. These cookies look really good, I understand why you're she loves him so much! And I'm sure your little Cookie Monsters will like them as well!

Bubble Bass's Order from SpongeBob SquarePants by Binging with Babish

Remember that one episode from SpongeBob SquarePants, what where Bubble Bass ordered a Krabby Patty in the most ridiculous way imaginable? You think no one but SpongeBob would understand his order, but apparently Babish from Binging with Babish did and made a real life version of Bubble Bass's order. I know none of us will ever forgive Bubble Bass for what he did to SpongeBob in that episode, but anyone who ordered a Krabby Patty like that obviously has good taste.

Licking Wallpaper from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory by Fun Foods

Remember that one scene from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory where Willy Wonka show the kids a room with lickable wallpaper? Did you ever think someone would ever recreate that? They would have to be crazy, right? Well apparently, the guy from Fun Foods on YouTube was probably pretty crazy, because he actually did make his own lickable wallpaper! I don't know about you guys, I would love to try this for myself.

Alice in Wonderland "Eat Me" cookies by Rosanna Pansino

What Disney food from a movie or TV show would you love to try in real life? Personally, I would love to try McFizzles from Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, but that's just me. For those wanting to try something from a classic Disney movie, try making Rosanna Pansino's interpretation of the cookies from Disney's Alice in Wonderland. These cookies look so wonderfully made, like they came right out of the movie. Even though they won't make you grow like they do in the movie, but they still look good nonetheless.

???????Reptar Bars from Rugrats by Feast of Fiction

If there's one Nickelodeon treat that I know a lot of people would love to try, it would be the ever iconic Reptar Bar from Rugrats. Yes, I know Nickelodeon has already came out with an actual Reptar bar, but the host of Feast of fiction, Jimmy Wong and Ashley Adams, decided to make accurate versions of the bars from the show, right down to the green marshmallow filling that turns your tongue green. No I can have dark or milk chocolate, the latter of which is what these bars are made out of, but I know I can have white chocolate, so I can easily use that. But you can use whatever chocolate you want, just as long as you looking forward to fulfilling your childhood dream!

Rare Candy from Pokémon by Feast of Fiction

Have you always wanted to try some of the treats from the Pokemon games? Well, Feast of Fiction has got you covered! The rare candy is such an iconic treat from the Pokémon games, one that raises the level of whichever Pokémon you give it to by one. But why should the Pokémon have all the good stuff? Good thing we have Jimmy and Ashley around! This recipe in particular calls for citric powder, which is what makes sour gummy worms sour in the first place. If sour is not your thing, then you can skip on this recipe. If it is, you should give it a try. It's a real catch! (See what I did there?)

Snacks from the 90s you can make at home, recipes by Tasty

I saved the best for last. And unlike the other recipes, which were inspired by shows, games and movies we grew up with, these these recipes are recreations of snacks from the 90s that most of us grew up eating. Snacks like pizza pockets, Rice Krispie pops and strawberry roll ups, are just some of the recipes that you'll have fun making reliving your childhood. And did I mention that this video is that too 90s inspired music?

And there you have it you guys. Some tasty recipes inspired by long lost memories! I think I might post some more recipes like these in the near future. But in the meantime, get in the kitchen and and fulfilled some Bodacious childhood dreams, dudes and dudettes!
