The Hottest Women of the 90s...Then and Now!

The 90's were full of wonderful things.  Things like POG's, Spaghetti at McDonalds, 4 Non Blondes, and Back to the Future, Part III!.  Ok, so maybe everything wasn't so hot, but one thing sure was....the women!

The 90's brought us more than it's fair share of female eye candy, and here we look back on 15 of the hottest babes the decade had to offer, and also a glimpse of how they have changed through the last 15-25 years!

#15:  Rebecca Gayheart

Rebecca Gayheart burst onto the scene in 1991 by appearing in a Noxema commercial, and quickly gained fame as "the Noxema girl".  With her new found recognition, she earned her first major role in the soap opera, Loving.  In 1995, she landed a recurring role on Beverly Hills 90210 as one of Luke Perry's love interests.  She would go on to star in both Scream 2 and Urban Legend later in the decade.

#14:  Sharon Stone

Although she had been around for a little while before the 90's, Sharon Stone had her first real break when she starred in Total Recall in 1990.  To coincide with the film's release, she posed for an issue of Playboy.  She then turned the conservative movie going world on it's ear in 1992 when she starred in Basic Instinct, and was the centerpiece of one of the most provocative movie scenes in film history.  Later, in 1995, she won a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her role as Ginger in the great movie Casino.

#13:  Ali Landry

Landry won the Miss USA pageant in 1996, and followed that up by starring in a streamy Dorito's Commercial that aired during the Superbowl in 1998.  Also in 1998, she was named on People Magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People list.

#12:  Kathy Ireland

Supermodel Kathy Ireland was everywhere in the 90's.  Along with gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit covers, she had parts in several movies and television shows like Unneccessary Roughness, Loaded Weapon 1, Boy Meets World, Melrose Place and others.  In 1993, she founded Kathy Ireland Worldwide, and became one of the wealthiest former models in the world.  Her current personal fortune is estimated at 420 million dollars.

#11:  Christina Applegate

Christina Applegate gained fame with her role of Kelly Bundy on Married, With Children.  She was considered one of the hottest stars of the early 90's by many, many people.  In 1991, she got her first starring role in a movie when she was cast in Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead.  Later in 1995, she was a founding member of the famed Pussycat Dolls.  In the late 90's, she had another television series, Jessie, which earned her a Golden Globe for Best Lead Actress in a comedy.

#10:  Alicia Silverstone

Alicia Silverstone made her film debut in The Crush, and gained further fame when she appeared in three Aerosmith music videos.  She went on to star in the 1995 hit, Clueless, and in 1997 she played Batgirl in the summer blockbuster Batman & Robin.

Jennifer Aniston became a bonafide worldwide star by playing Rachel on the television series Friends which debuted in 1994.  The role earned her a Primetime Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award!  In the 2000's her popularity continued thanks to starring in films including Bruce Almighty, The Break-Up, Horrible Bosses, and her latest hit...We're the Millers.

#07:  Sarah Michelle Gellar

Gellar had her breakthrough by starring on the ABC daytime soap opera All My Children in 1993.  But her real ascension to worldwide fame came in 1997 when she played the lead role on Buffy the Vampire Slayer.  Starring in films such as I Know What You Did Last Summer, Scream 2, and Cruel Intentions only widened her fame, and cadre of supporters.

Very nice list and some great picks. Hard to believe I grew up watching these women on TV.

Almost all of these ladies have aged gracefully and are still beautiful, with a few exceptions.

Sarah Michelle Gellar looks like an anorexic. She's always been a bit skinny, but now it just makes her look like skin and bones. Gross.

Pamela Anderson has had too much work done since her days on Baywatch. Now she looks like somebody who was in an accident and had plastic surgery to fix the damage.

And then, Janet Jackson. She's pretty much gone the way of her brother. Yeesh.

Nice list Mickey.
