'Tis the season and all of that. If you enjoy Christmas music at all, what are your go-to albums to get you in the spirit?
My number one would definitely be A Charlie Brown Christmas. I think it's a damn near perfect album from top to bottom, Christmas related or not.
Another I enjoy is volume one of 'Now That's What I Call Christmas!' There's a few stinkers on it, but it's a pretty decent compilation of the classics.

I also have the Now That's What I Call Christmas album, and it is a good one.
I don't really have a favorite album, as I mostly just listen to SiriusXM Holiday Traditions this time of year. However, I do have a favorite Christmas song... Holly Jolly Christmas by Burl Ives. You love this signature.

Alabama Christmas is really good, i have it on cd. Alan Jackson also has a few good ones. Bing crosby's Merry Christmas album is one of my favorites. Twisted Sister's A Twisted Christmas is really good.

Jrs1991 wrote : I had no idea that Twisted Sister had a Christmas album. I need to look that up ASAP... I also like the Alabama Christmas album, but for a really goofy reason. There's a song on that album ('Christmas in Dixie') that mentions the city I grew up in (Fort Payne, Alabama). Which, it's the hometown of all of the guys in the band, so I guess it was expected. It just always blows my mind that the little tiny town of Fort Payne is in a song that was a huge hit. |

Not particularly well-known, but it has some good country renditions of Christmas songs. "Magic can happen to you."

You can get it on Amazon, but you're not going to find too much info here either.

Reel Big Fish is releasing a new Holiday album on the 15th, so that will probably win my heart over. I'm probably WAY too old to listen to Reel Big Fish, but they're a guilty pleasure.

Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree 8. Auld Lang Syne 9. Blue Christmas 10. Joy to the World 11. Angels We Have Heard on Heard 12. God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen 13. Silent Night 14. Old Toy Trains 15. Hark the Herald Angels Sing 16. Jingle Bells Honestly, I have no idea who sings these, but they're probably not familiar names in the country music business. Still, the album is worth a listen. How about songs that get play during Christmas that you don't like/hate/despise?
I don't care for: Santa Baby - Really? I don't want to think of Santa in this way. Snow - The lyrics get completely ridiculous... wanting to wash your hair and face with snow? Yeah. Baby, It's Cold Outside - I don't want to hear about how you hope your date drinks too much and hooks up with you. Then there are those songs that are so bad, they DON'T get play. You love this signature.
