November is a time for turkey, parades and all that good stuff, but it's also a time for the annual Survivor Series event.

I was a pretty dedicated wrestling fan during the early 90s through the Attitude era, but in all that time I only saw one PPV event. So sadly Survivor Series has no meaning to me.

We watched it on PPV growing up, but it paled in comparison to Wrestlemania. Very few events could come close to that one in terms of excitement for it.

I didn't see much of it on pay per view, but I did rent most of them from the video store. I always liked the four on four teams, which I guess puts me in the minority. Its definitely lost its luster after all these years and is just another uninspired big event showcase nowadays.
I watched it via the free WWE Network tonight just to see the debut of Sting. I was so sicked by how incredibly terrible the show was I actually turned off the main event and just turned the show back on with ten minutes left. Then even the Sting debut was a bit disappointing. Somebody needs to bring back Starrcade. It's the 31st anniversary of Starrcade 83 today. |

Sting debuting has to be the highlight of the evening. That and Damien Sandow winning a title.
