Following the conclusion of the stellar Halloween Article Contest, the value of an article will increase from 40 points to 80 points. This should help anybody who would like to pick up something for Christmas from the Points Store. And like always, having your article become a "Featured Article" will double the value, giving you another 80 points.

Submitted videos will remain the same at 5 points, unless the video is an uploaded video... in which case it is worth 10 points.

Are featured articles anything over 9 votes?

Not necessarily. Most generally I select articles that are at least a 7, but it's not a necessity. It can also depend on the article itself and how likely it might be that it would interest a guest to the site, or appeal to Google searches in a unique way. But if an article just seems to really be doing well, I'll put it up there because it is popular among us.
