Is that Master Blaster...?

I lost my interest in Mortal Kombat after the second one. Yeah, the first had the novelty of blood/gore and such... and the second one added some great new characters in the mix, but after that they just started trying to make the whole death and gore aspect take center stage above everything else, and that was boring to me.

Fact about me: I owned both versions of Mortal Kombat on consoles (SNES and Genesis) and actually preferred the SNES version over the Genesis.

I thought the movie was one of the best, if not the best video game to film adaptation. The theme song is like pouring a can of Redbull into your ear canal!

The trailer has been up for a while... most notably, during E3. Looks like this game is really more gore focused. Though, this whole trailer seems to be more of a CGI trailer than actually showing off the gameplay. Nevertheless, we'll have to see what more this game has to offer.

It hits stores this week. Will you be waiting in line at Gamestop?
