Right now, a script is being waited on. But from what I've heard, the movie will have a wintertime setting. A first for the franchise.

Why must we reboot everything ever? There was already a F13 part one and two... we don't need them AGAIN! Ditto for the Nightmare series. *sigh*

didn't they kind of goof up with the first remake? in the beginning scene one of the kids are carrying what looks like a modern camcorder when the movie still takes place in the 80s

I'm not sure, but that scene took place 30 years after Jason saw his mother beheaded.
