I had no memory of this film ever being even CONSIDERED to be made. Yet, there is now a trailer for a documentary discussing the "movie that could have been" called "Superman Lives" and starring Nicolas Cage as Superman.

Some neat things I've read after having discovered this films "pre-existence" are that Michael Keaton was being considered to reprise his Batman role, and that Jack Nicholson was also possibly going to be involved somehow.

I think i remember reading about this movie on some other website about a year ago. I think the article was about movies that were never made. 

maybe it would've been better than 'superman doomsday'
