E3 2014 is now kicking off for this week, and there's going to be a lot of big news. They started off with Microsoft's press conference. Now, we all know what went on last year with their press conference, but since then, they did a ton of 180s with the Xbox One. Do I think Microsoft redeemed themselves after all that. No... no I do not... and Microsoft's press conference for this year is pretty lackluster, IMO, but there were a few highlights.

First off is Capcom's pandering fanservice in DLC downloads in Dead Rising 3. But the most interesting part is their name Super Ultra Dead Rising 3 Arcade Remix Hyper Edition EX Plus Alpha. It seems that somebody at Capcom is making fun of themselves with their conventional sequel naming.

But what really surprised me... is the fact that Microsoft is actually starting to care about one of Rare's franchises. Another game revealed is Project Spark, a game where you get to create your own game worlds. However at the end of the trailer is a surprise appearance by Conker the Squirrel. Yup, Conker is going to be used as one of the games on Project Spark after a 13 year absence (or 9 if you count the Xbox remake) since Conker's Bad Fur Day on the N64.

Also, Platinum Games is delivering an Xbox One exclusive... and Nintendo fanboys are crying BETRAYAL!!! But in all seriousness though, Platinum Games did deliver something special last year for the Wii U which is The Wonderful 101. While not as successful as other Platinum games, it was still a great titles and a worthy addition to the Wii U library. So, it seems that Kamiya wants to be fair and give Xbox One fans their own exclusive title which is Scalebound. Looks like a fun title and something I'd be interested in playing if I get an Xbox One.

I didn't watch neither EA or Ubisoft's press conferences. Mainly because I couldn't give two sh*ts about EA, and I refuse to give Ubisoft my attention OUT OF SPITE because I already hate them with a passion.

Now, onto Sony's press conference. In a nutshell, it's not that much better than Microsoft's press conference, but there were some good stuff revealed.

LittleBigPlanet 3 is one of the games announced. Not counting the karting spinoff, the last game in the series released in LittleBigPlanet 2 in 2011. And it looks like Sackboy is joined by new friends. Uh-oh, sounds like they're going the route the 3D Sonic games went through.

Also revealed is Mortal Kombat X. Yup, it's time to GET OVER HERE for the tenth installment in the main series.

The trailer to the Ratchet and Clank movie has also been revealed. I always stated that Insomniac Games, as well as Naughty Dog, is like the Pixar of gaming, and this movie trailer really does make it fell like a Pixar movie. I'm excited to see what the Ratchet and Clank movie will be like.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is also shown... and oh dear gawd, how low can Hideo Kojima possibly go. This game makes absolutely no sense what so ever. But than again, just like with Ground Zeroes, I bet Kiefer Sutherland is going to be playing as Solid Snake again, which people will gush over because they get to see Jack Bauer taking the character's role. Really, who cares about Kiefer Sutherland? Not me, that's for sure.

Other than that, they revealed PS4 versions of Grand Theft Auto and The Last of Us... both of which are going to allow save date transferred from the PS3 versions. Why they're doing that, I have no idea. By the time they're out, most people who bought the PS3 versions would most likely have finished the game.

ground zeroes, from what i heard was made because the fans wouldn't shut up about wanting more metal gear solid games. the fourth one should've stayed as the last one

As far as the Metal Gear series goes, Hideo lost me with number 2. Seriously... immortal vampires? C'mon man. It's a military game world. I just couldn't get into the game with all the crazy stuff being tossed in there. It just got wackier and worse after that.

Glad to see Conker getting some love again.

A Ratchet and Clank movie, huh? Due to the series' violent, explosive nature, it's likely to be PG-13 rated. I would love to see this.
