Anything you guys would like to read about?  Most of my articles cover movies, television, anime, and games. I've been working on reviewing older 70's movies and some black and white science fiction shows on my blog.  But I'm here to entertain you wonderful people and your ideas will help me build my skills as a writer.  Also don't be afraid to comment on my articles.  If I can improve on something, I'd like to know.  I won't cry I promise.

I know many people enjoy articles that reveal what the subject itself means to the writer and stories revolving around the subject from the life of the writer. I have read many comments on RetroJunk from people who prefer more than straight reviews or descriptions of all things retro, but personal stories that give the articles heart. I don't think it will matter which you choose (retro movies, television shows, products, places, etc.), as any of them instantly become interesting when you open up about your own personal feelings and stories in regard to the subject.

This article is a good example of what I'm talking about. Vkimo takes something as lame and boring as a rainy day, and makes it soooo interesting to read about. This is one of my favorite articles here.

As for suggestions on your articles, my only one would be to increase their length... perhaps by expanding on the details or something along those lines. I am enjoying your writing, and wish to read more!

Make them bigger and more detailed. You can check out what Vapor linked along with mine if you want to be more of a reviewer. Look around and find your own style. But get the reader interested. I'm taking the summer off to better my writing as well as needing a break cause of a busy Summer. Look around and really dig deep. Who knows in the world of nostalgia the deeper you dig in a decade a gem is waiting near by.

Thank you for your honesty.  I really need to work on really fleshing out my articles, which really don't reflect sometimes what I'm trying to get across.  I haven't really done much writing for a very long time.  Life sometimes gets in the way of that.  My wife is the one who encouraged me to start really trying to express myself again.  I've been stuck in the rut of everyday life for a long time now.  So I hope to improve and get better.  More than anything else, I want to keep alive the memories of my generation so that it can be passed on to the next.

@Doc: Well I think it's safe to say you aren't rusty from your writing hiatus. Your writing is just dandy. I think with a little more detail, and a personal touch, there isn't much you could write that wouldn't be interesting.

You have potential. Like we said though details help. It also helps get your point across more.
