On the heels of news of a Goonies sequel, it appears another Chris Columbus film is also getting greenlighted for a long-time-later sequel, Mrs. Doubtfire.

I'm not sure what to think of this. Does Mrs. Doubtfire really need a sequel? I don't remember it being a generation defining film like The Goonies... so this is a head scratcher to me.

Mr Magic

I think Williams still has the ability to act. The Snickers commercial he was in proves it.

I think Robin Williams brand of humor belonged to the 90s. Almost in the same essence as Jim Carrey.

I'm glad she isn't doing it. She's said plenty of times she's done with acting and she's sticking to it. I liked how the 1st one ended so they shouldn't make a second one. Leave our childhood alone Hollywood....... Except for you Pixar. Just stop with Cars and Planes and you'll still be on my good side.

the good news is, she was never asked to reprise her role. it's just the fans that want it to happen

It's strange to be saying this, but since I tend to agree with what vkimo said about Williams' sense of humor remaining in the 80's and 90's, I think I actually like him better in his more serious roles nowadays.

His stand up is hilarious though in my opinion.

Jack was one of his best films imo.

And The Birdcage.

I really enjoyed What Dreams May Come and Jack was good but almost too sad. Hook and Popeye were my favs. 24 Hour Photo was really good and a step put of his normal character.
