I love lava lamps but wish they would modernize the housing. I remember when I was young I would sleep downstairs in our front room so I could wake up and watch Saturday morning cartoons. Before I went to bed though, I would flip on our lava lamp and be lulled to sleep by its hypnotic dance.

Did your family ever have one of these "oil dripping lights"?
![]() We had two or three hanging in our house. I remember reaching up and touching the slow drips as they came down. You love this signature.

My uncle had one of those lamps, but I never knew what it was. I think by the time I was a kid it was broken. I think he got rid of it in like 1992.
My cousin has a lava lamp I wanted to see it, and it took a lot of time to warm up. |

It takes forever for the bubbles to form in mine. Probably because I have the ceiling fan on and I'm not letting the lamp warm the room.
