I wanted to just give pikachulover a special (and public) thanks and congratulations.

If a little site like this one could have anything be called "viral" (though that might be stretching it, I don't know ), it would be her article, 1995 & 1996 Fashion Trends (90's Girl Fashion).

Probably before the end of the month of March, it will have accumulated 10,000 reads. The most of any article available here on RD. This is because Google seems to have fallen head over heels for it. It is the page most landed on by organic searches.

This just goes to show you that, though we are small, the impact of what you write can be mighty... and reach thousands of people.

Lets hear it for the girl!

Very nice! It also shows the importance of titling articles with search terms. I always title mine with obscure book like names which a person reads and has no idea what it's about until they read it haha.

Wow...that is awesome!  On a site like this, I think that's every writer's dream.

Just an update on this article of hers...

It's been read now over 40,000 times. So that means since March of last year (when I first posted this thread), it's accumulated another 30,000 hits. That's crazy!

Wow. That is crazy. I'm wondering what is it that's drawing people to the article. I'm guessing maybe because 90s Fashions isn't too common of a topic, yet, it's still something people are interested in.

I know. For whatever reason, Google places it at the top of the heap for 1995 fashion, 1995 fashion trends, 1996 fashion, etc. Not sure why those years in particular are searched, but apparently Google has saw fit to make her article the authority on fashion in those two years.

On down the list, two of the top five most read articles are by Oldschool80s, including the article in the number two spot with almost 20,000 views, Top 30 Cars & Trucks from 80's Movies & TV.

And of course vkimo has one in there at the number 3 spot with almost 18,000 views, the ever popular Retro Rooms.

Awww. Thanks

Perhaps its the 20 year fashion rule in effect here?

Fun fact about that article. I had been planning on writing it for years. I had a rough draft I had written during the WGA strike of 2007-2008. It was originally going to be a blog post.
