Anybody here remember the Turkey Day marathons that Comedy Central used to air every year when MST3K was on the air? Now they're bringing it back as a streaming event. This is being hosted by Joel Hudgson, and is done in collaboration with Shout Factory for promotion of their 25th anniversary DVD set. 6 episodes from the Joel-era is going to be streamed live starting at 12 noon.

Sadly, since I haven't really developed an appreciation for the show until after it ended, then I wouldn't have been able to experience the original tradition. But now, I'm hoping they use this opportunity to continue this tradition to a new set of MST3K fans like myself, and see how it fells to watch it the way Comedy Central used to do it.

As you can tell, I'm quite juiced about this.

I had the fortune of enjoying one of those marathons during one particular Thanksgiving. It was so much fun. Though, I'm not a fan of the Joel years. Sure, there are some great shows from that era (Manos: The Hands of Fate being one of my favorites), but I really prefer Mike's humor.

Still, this is just SWEET!!!

Joel always seemed like he smoked weed in the cargo bay with Gypsy before going on the air.
