There is no reviving Retro Junk. It was a product of its era. Everyone had good times while the fun lasted, but the time has passed on it being anything of value. Had Vertex done what Vap did and tried expanidng it into other avenues he may have been able to keep it alive. But he didn't.

I just looked at the article section. My last article for them was published in November of 2014. It however currently sits on the twelve page of the article section. That is how few articles they have had published since then.

It's sad to say, but as Rick points out, sites like these are a product of an era of the internet that has passed. People have glued themselves to social media to the extent that they are not willing to invest ideas, time, or effort in a community unto itself. Everything must be centralized... accessible in one space.

Reminds me of our shopping habits. From small town, mom and pop shops, to malls and big box stores. We've progressed from small, community-driven sites to giant, all-in-one social media platforms. I don't see it ever changing.

A couple Timbox articles do not mean a revival

I think that means certain doom.

i really wouldn't be surprised if tim made his way over to the site, only to leave from article criticism. i felt like i was taking an eye exam looking at the endless pictures he posted for his dexter's odyssey article among the other articles that looked like one big photo gallery. he REALLY wanted you to look at that tub scene from the dexter's lab movie.

I don't think he'll come here. He probably doesn't even know this site exists. Unless he finds some mention of it back on Retro Junk he'll probably never find this place.

I think Tim's been here. He's just been stalking.

I haven't looked at RetroJunk in a long time. I think a couple weeks ago I did out of curiousity and noticed their site no longer runs PHP. It appears to be now a C# based framework called Blazor. Not sure why Vertex keeps changing frameworks but never adding any new features that help keep the community entertaining.
