One I haven't seen mentioned is The Phantom. I thought that was a pretty cool flick, though the casting of Treat Williams was a bit of a let down.

That reminds me, raptor, I liked The Shadow (1994). I even watched it again recently. My introduction to the character was from the 70s comic book series, of which I picked up a bunch of early issues one summer vacation, from the bargain bin at a strip mall book store in Ocean City NJ. After that, I got a cassette box set of the 30s radio show, which was a little too dry for me.

As for my absolute favorite comic book movie...well, it's way too hard for me to pick. I looked through this list and kept bouncing from one to another to another. All I can say for sure it is NOT Barb Wire.

Ooh Barb Wire is a guilty pleasure of mine since i was 14 as Pam Anderson has epic knockers no doubt and she was one of those chicks that helped ushered me to manhood.

Any of these your faves and did you know Oldboy is based on a comic as is History of Violence and Road to Perdition?

Never heard of Oldboy. Never saw History of Violence though I want to. Didn't know it was a comic. I heard of Road to Perdition but I know nothing about it. Believe it or not some people haven't seen and bought copies of every movie ever made. I'm curious the size of your collection.

I like quite a few of the movies you listed. But half of them, I haven't even seen.

Pamela Anderson is definitely sexy, although much plastic. I stand by saying Barb Wire is a dreadful movie and it literally put me to sleep.

I'm surprised that Supergirl is not listed here anywhere.

Hey Shakin, go see Oldboy before you see the US remake. Oldboy is an excellent, very violent and unique and poetic Korean/Japanese crime drama based on a manga (Japanese comic), it's a must see and a very rewarding movie away from hollywood.

Did you know 30 Days of Night, Akira, Ichi The Killer, 300, Sin city and MIB were based on comics?
