Starting in one of the first few episodes of the 35th season, it seems this will be the end of an era where Homer no longer strangles Bart.

A lot of fans on social media aren't happy with the change saying that this generation has gone too soft, but in my opinion I do think the gag has overstayed its welcome. It honestly just stopped being funny to me when the 2000s rolled around. What are your thoughts though?

I don't care either way because I haven't watched a new episode of The Simpsons in a long time.
