More than a week ago, I submitted a really long article on here, but I don't see any current status of it or have been receiving any updates on it in email. Has it been lost, deleted, stuck in a very long queue of submissions? Hope to hear back about it. Thank you.

It can take a while for submitted articles to show up on the front page. Sometimes a couple of days, maybe a week, it depends if other users have articles waiting for approval. Nintendo Network ID: Benjamillion

It's been 9 days since I submitted my piece, 9 days ,and I worked forever on it. I should expect some kind of payoff at this point, or no payoff at all. |

In a way it's also to prevent a single user from submitting a bunch of articles at once, it might sound tempting to want to up your points score but since we have a contributors ranking on the home page it makes sense. Nintendo Network ID: Benjamillion

You just have to be patient. It usually it can take up to a month for new articles to appear on the front page since the last time new articles were posted on the front page. I am waiting on my Pearl Jam and Red Hot Chili Peppers articles and I had to edit them to make some of the sizes of some of the images the appropriate size in order for them to be approved and I submitted my RHCP article way back in the beginning of September. |
A MONTH!? Retrojunk used to publish articles in only a very small fraction of that time! Not only is that completely and utterly ridiculous, that is WAY too extraordinarily long of a wait. BionicleFan1994 wrote : |

Hey Adam. I'm going to go ahead and publish your article, but I have to be honest... I don't know who this was written for. The subject matter is extremely specific and probably not something that is going to attract much attention. Not to mention some of the information given is a little bizarre. If in the future you decide you would like to write more, consider subjects that would have broader appeal. Even so, thank you for all the effort you put into it. You love this signature.

I'm not really sure how I feel about that first article, clearly since it was done with doing online research in mind it should have been labeled as a Smurf Photog article, but even then an article should be about your memories on something, not digging deep into a source of information. Is it alright to have this article deleted? It's nothing personal against anybody on here, but I'm not really feeling confident about my work now. Plus, there were some mistakes that I greatly overlooked after submission. Vaporman87 wrote : |
