So after 25 years, Ash finally becomes the world champion Pokemon trainer. Definitely a bitter sweet moment for me. I haven't kept up on Pokemon for over 12 years at least, but it was still cool hearing about this. I watched the battle on Youtube - Pretty formulaic and reminds me why I kind of lost interest but I'll still always hold a special spot in my retro attic for Pokemon

I stopped watching after the anime reached the Sinnoh region. Last time I watched an episode was back in 2015 when I woke up early one Friday morning in college.

Really feels like an end of an era for an entire generation. I think everyone born within the past 30 and some years can say that Pokemon defined a period of their childhood. It did so for me. Now all we need is for the straw hats to find One Piece and we are finally complete as for as long running anime series goes.

Still a long, LONG ways from catching up. I recently watched all the Battle Frontier episodes and no episodes after that.

But yeah, great to know he finally did it after so many seasons of not winning the big one.

I have watched Pokémon from the very first episode and all the way til the end of the Jotho League, then picked random episodes to watch based on what sounded cool on the Wiki, so you can definitely say that I haven't kept up with it... but I absolutely watched this last battle and it truly felt like the end of an era.

I'm glad I got to see it all come together at long last.
