One of the most famous pieces of lost media has been recovered after over 45 years. Aired in 1976, an epsiode of Sesame Street featured the Wicked Witch of the West arriving on Sesame Street. Featuring the original actress from The Wizard of Oz Margaret Hamilton, the episode was banned and never reaired after numerous parents sent in complaints complaining that the episode scared their kids.
While a few bad quality clips of it emerged in 2019, this week the entire episode was recovered and put in HD quality for everyone to enjoy.
