Not exactly retro but figured I'd add anyway. Has anybody watched this yet? Only Season 1 is out but Season 2 and 3 are slated sometime next year. So far I really like it. Pretty hardcore stuff. I never read the comics so I try to avoid spoilers but it's sometimes hard when you get curious.

OMG - Thank You!!!

How did I let this gem slip past me? It came up on my recommendations feed, but a lot of meh stuff gets thrown at me. I ran the trailer and discovered that my friend, The Critical Drinker, highly recommends this series too.

Now I've got sometjing to spice-up this Holiday Season!

I would highly recommend this series! I actually did read the comics first a long time ago and it was a real treat to watch.

Fun fact- I met Robert Kirkman at a comic book store in San Diego and when everyone was talking about The Walking Dead, I thanked him for Invincible lol

Thank you again!

I blame myself for not scrolling through the "Amazon Original" feed on my Prime Video account. I've been pissed ever since "The Tick" got the axe.

I think this whole series would  have benefitted from letting Omni-Man suffer a lot more. He's made out to be this invincible force that nobody can handle. That's not fun at all. I don't like it when it's the hero, and I don't like it for villians either.

With Thanos, yes... he was pretty tough. But at least he actually is beaten at one point even in Infinity War (until that freaking moron Star Lord screws things up). And prior to that beating, he had to suffer a huge loss.

But with Omni-Man... he never gets whats coming to him. Not even close. I feel like his battle with the Guardians of the Globe should have been much more difficult for him. That was the point at which the whole series soured for me. Reminded me of why I hate Superman as a character. Too overpowered... too boring.

I haven't read the comics so I'm just guessing. I have a feeling there's going to be some sort of redemption arch for Omni-man. Like maybe he realizes his mission was wrong. I dunno I could be wrong. But I have heard there were characaters that are as strong as or stronger than Omni-man. Like Thragg or Battle Beast. I'm curious to see what Season 2 will bring. I wanna see him go head to head against folks who are on par with him.

I don't want him redeemed. I want him to have his butt handed to him.

And that's what I noticed, Omni-Man destroyed the Guardians of the Globe too easily, and too early! I prefer more deception and intrigue - instead of killing the Guardians in one scene, why not be more "cloak & dagger" and have Omni-Man dispatch each member of the Guardians one at a time, utilizing their unique super powers as the method for their deaths, turning their own powers against them.
