20 years ago today, the original Shrek film released in theaters. What are your memories of watching it for the first time?

Smash Mouth's version of "I'm a Believer".

I remember being unimpressed. None of the films were very good, and the humor was pretty bland. 

October will also mark the 10th anniversary of Puss in Boots 

I saw the film in theaters when it first came out back in 2001. My dad took me to see it. I saw all of them in theaters except for the fourth one, which I haven't seen at all.
