I remember seeing this special when I was younger, but it had been so many years before that I forgot all about it.

This was another of those specials I watched last Christmas and was delightfully reminded of the feelings I had when I watched it as a child.

The production value of it seemed high for what it was. Apparently it was created pre-80's for HBO, then aired on ABC in the early 80's.

Again, it had an appearance by Kermit The Frog which was edited out of later releases (since Disney bought the Muppets in '04).
