Apparently, lackluster box office returns for Solo: A Star Wars Story have caused Disney to slow down plans on their other Star Wars anthology movies. From what I've read, these movies haven't yet been cancelled altogether, but they won't be cranked out at quite the same speed as they have been thus far if the movies do end up being made. I think this might be a good thing. Releasing a new Star Wars movie every year was probably too much for the casual Star Wars fan to keep up with anyways.

Good. When they start putting out totally unnecessary origin stories like Solo, things are getting out of hand.

Agreed. I'm not against them exploring the Star Wars universe beyond the main series, but putting out a new movie every year was just too much. Maybe this new decision will mean only the anthology movies that are worth making will be made if they do indeed make any more of them.

I at least want the Obi Wan movie.

That was the one I was most hoping to see, too. I hope it still ends up being made.

I'd be fine with Star Wars Anthology movies, if they were completely separate from the "main" storyline. My dream is to see something like Cross of Iron, but with Imperial Stormtroopers on a distant planet.
