Merry Christmas, everyone!
 Did anyone get anything retro for Christmas this year? My mom gave me a Fire HD 10 Tablet. While the gift itself may not be retro, I do plan on using it to watch some retro cartoons and to read some old Superman comics during my breaks at work. I'm also using a retro screensaver for it at the moment. It's a picture of Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman. |

 My youngest daughter got me this swank G.I. Joe A Real American Hero hoodie that takes me back to my younger days.....  Santa Claus brought Rock'em Sock'em Robots for the family to enjoy, and we spent a good part of the day managing Red Rocker and Blue Bomber in battle on Christmas day....  But the thing I've enjoyed most is this awesome 1986 Mattel Toys catalog that my best friend (besides my wife) picked up for me. This thing is just oozing with goodness. It's stuffed to the gills with multiple page spreads of He-Man, Barbie, M.U.S.C.L.E., Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, and a ton of other toys. Those were the only 3 retro gifts I got this year, but man, I'm so happy with all of them. What about the rest of you guys and gals? www.retroramblings.com

I tried to visit on Christmas to wish RD a happy holiday but the site was down!
I got a Girlschool live album from 1982, and a Nintendo "8-bit Character Set" blocky models of Mario, Luigi, and Toad from Super Mario 1, Donkey Kong from DK1, and Link from Zelda 1. Pretty lame assortment on Nintendo's part if you ask me, but Mrs steak doesn't know about such things and did her best. They will stand proudly next to my old video games. And I got some clothes and other non-retro stuff. |

I received a book on the cartoons of the Eighties, as well as the original Secret Wars comic series as a paperback graphic novel. Then some MOTU minis, some Iron Man bobbleheads, and other small items.
