Are you looking forward to this, 80s wrestling fans?

I'm kinda looking forward to it.  I was a huge wrestling fan growing up in the 80's, and I watched a little GLOW on Saturday afternoons.  Seems like it only played in my area for one year before the local affiliate switched over to POWW women's wrestling instead.  Still though, I think the series has promise, especially with the cast involved.

So is this a new series or did they just get the rights to the old one?

I watched a documentary on G.L.O.W. once. It was good.

So basically from what Mickey said, this will be a show based around and about the show from the 1980's. I've never heard of this show before, but it sounds like a pretty huge deal for anybody who was a wrestling fan from that period.

Yeah, I'll probably give it a look as well.  It seems they are giving it a little bit of a comedic tone, so hopefully it will be light hearted enough to watch with the kiddos.

I've posted this clip before.

G.L.O.W. (Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling) was more "orchestrated" than the Pro Wrestling for the men. Some of the "stars" were actresses and comedians, with some talented singers and dancers in the mix.

G.L.O.W. was aired Saturday nights as an alternative to NBC's SNL after midnight in the Seattle area.

From what I saw, no attempt was made to cast this as a sport, only entertainment with plenty of comedy breaks to give the ladies a chance to share a few laughs with the audience.
