Forum » Bugs & Errors » Any PS4 Owners That Can Help Me With a Problem?

I just moved today so I had to unplug my PS4 last night to bring with me. Everything was working fine last night, but now on a different TV the image is coming in full of static. Anybody know what's the problem? When I first turned it on there was a screen saying I didn't turn off the PS4 correctly and unplugging the AC cord could cause damage.

That's really odd. Have you found any others with the same issue online? It's not an issue I have heard of.

i've never had that problem. one problem i have had before though is using a different surge protector for mine. nothing was wrong with any of thr outlets but the light on my ps4 beeped anyway as if it wasn't plugged in.

I've seen a couple of people online talking about similar problems but I can't find any videos on YouTube that look similar to what I am experiencing. I tried changing the definition but that only made it worse, I tried updating the system or restore the database but nothing has worked.

One suggestion I read online said I have to replace the HDMI cord, but I'll wait on that. I'll go to Gamestop on Monday to see what they think.

Good luck with it. Hopefully it's a simple fix.

Well, after a week of waiting, I went to Gamestop last night to have them examine the problem. Turns out it was nothing more then a problem with the HDMI cord. They gave me a new one and now the thing is working fine.

Hurray. At least the fix was as simple as you hoped.
