It saw several successes in the 80's and early 90's before going bankrupt in 1995 due to the massive bombs that were Cutthroat Island and Showgirls.

Given that there was a thread about Orion Pictures, why not talk about Carolco Pictures as well? Quote Disable Sigs *Insert funny signature here*

Whenever I think of Carolco, I think of Terminator 2.

The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

Rick Ace Rhodes wrote :Cutthroat Island was supposed to be what Pirates of the Caribbean became. Too bad it didn't happen. They'll always be synonymous with the "epic bomb" because of that one picture. You love this signature.

But I liked Cutthroat Island. Well I liked the concept of it. The ship battles were pretty cool. Although I never did like the serrated pirate sword. I really just wanted a modern pirate movie as I was into pirates. My Carolco favorites were:
First Blood - no surprise as it was already mentioned in the Orion thread (distributed by them) Total Recall Air America Terminator 2 Star Gate Last of the Dogmen and of course Cutthroat Island |
