Given that there was a thread about Orion Pictures, why not talk about Carolco Pictures as well?

Whenever I think of Carolco, I think of Terminator 2.

Cutthroat Island was supposed to be what Pirates of the Caribbean became. Too bad it didn't happen. They'll always be synonymous with the "epic bomb" because of that one picture.

But I liked Cutthroat Island. Well I liked the concept of it. The ship battles were pretty cool. Although I never did like the serrated pirate sword. I really just wanted a modern pirate movie as I was into pirates. My Carolco favorites were:

First Blood - no surprise as it was already mentioned in the Orion thread (distributed by them)
Total Recall
Air America
Terminator 2
Star Gate
Last of the Dogmen
and of course Cutthroat Island

The first three Rambo films.
