There's nothing better than a cartoon series created by guys having fun for no reason than just having fun.

Animaniacs showed time and time again that it was a series reaching out to toon crazies of all ages.Just like Bugs Bunny and the Looney Tunes gang has kept 40's cultural gags alive, Animaniacs played with 50's and 60's themes to the delight of anyone looking for offbeat humor.

I never saw Dot Warner coming as "That Girl". When she first did the intro parody I just died laughing - its so cheesy and un-hip, even by 60's standards!

And that's why I love it.

Ya know, I like Dot's version better than the "That Girl" Season 2 intro:

Makes you wonder what show will do the same for 80's cultural gags. What cartoon show, that is.

Is it any wonder Animaniacs rules 90s animation?

I was just thinking the same thing - what cartoon will take up the pop culture parody baton? We need the kind of humor that will stand the test of time and give a glimpse of what was happening in the 80's especially.

No doubt about it, the last decade of the 20th century was an animation wonderland.
Now I'm ready for the next chapter in this story!
