Nancy Reagan was the best First Lady to ever step foot in the White House (IMHO). Both Reagans may be gone now, but their legacy will live on in our hearts and memories.

Somewhere I still have photos of the Reagans I was sent as part of a thank you for sending the President a get well soon card after he was shot. For two of the most powerful people in the world they always seemed so approachable. It's definitely a sad day and I hope she may rest in peace.

March 30, 1981.

My 24th birthday was spent with television as the news hit fast that President Reagan had been shot. It was only a few years ago that Nancy Reagan in an interview with Mike Wallace, of CBS News, admitted that the President was wounded more seriously than the press knew at that time. We came very close to losing Ronald Reagan that day, in fact President Reagan was never quite the same after surviving that gunshot.

We were all blessed that day and I certainly made up for my 24th birthday bust with my 25th birthday spectacular. The Reagans were invited but they were busy, apparently.

RIP Nancy Reagan.

It feels like a significant part of the 80's died with her. She was such an important part of what made it such a wonderful decade.

My guess is that 95% of those posting such things are college age dopes who can't wait to get free things from Bernie Sanders. The only wisdom they draw from consists of all the mistakes they made exposing themselves on SnapChat.

We'll never see another President and First Lady that carried themselves with such class again in our lifetimes I'm afraid.

@Jrs:

What classless jerks. They deserve a beating.

Today is Nancy's funeral. They're showing footage of it.
