Every year on Thanksgiving, WGN (channel 9) airs this special looking back at their classic childrens' programming. Clips and history are presented of Bozo the Clown (wikipedia)(various shows), Garfield Goose and Friends (wikipedia), and Ray Rayner and His Friends (wikipedia).


Three animated shorts are also included that get us ready for Thanksgiving night and Christmas.

It's my Thanksgiving tradition to watch this special while peeling potatoes or whatever other food prep tasks I have. If you want a taste of some good old-fashioned Chicago TV, look for it airing on WGN America tomorrow morning.

I have not heard of this. I want to check it out, but unfortunately at this time, I no longer have WGN America.
