Neither one of these teams have won since the 80s.
Royals: 1985
Mets: 1986
Judging by the difference in World Series droughts, both of them playing against each other is an interesting turn of events.

This should be a good World Series. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

What about when the Fox feed cut off?

Wow this is interesting only in the fact that both of these teams are totally forgettable. Like all the major teams killed each other and these guys were overlooked in the slaughter and survived.

Give me the little market teams with heart, not a large pocketbook. I say this as someone who doesn't watch sports anymore. But when I did, this was my line of thinking. You love this signature.

What a wild game this was, and it was only the first one. 14 innings! It shows you how much these teams want that title.

I watched most of it. The game ended at about 10:15 in the Pacific time zone. It was tied as one of the longest World Series game in history.

Both clubs played their hearts out. It truly was anybody's ballgame.
