Fans who have been watching the show for a long time know that Mr. Smithers is an assistant and admirer of Mr. Burns. Too much of an admirer, actually. Well, now they want to do an episode where he comes out of the closet.

"Magic can happen to you."

Man, this isn't desperate... this is mega desperate. What are they going to do next? Have Sideshow Bob finally kill Bart Simpson? Oh wait....

This reminds me of that Archie comic recently with the gay dead guy. C'mon... seriously?
You love this signature.

This is ridiculous, everybody knows that Smithers is a Burnsosexual.
The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

They've been stretching for years. I haven't watched a new episode since last year's opener with Krusty's father dying. All that time they were building up this big "character death" and it turned out to be a minor character that almost no one remembered. I refuse to watch another episode until they end the show.

The Simpsons are like the Energizer Bunny.
They keep going and going and going... "Magic can happen to you."

They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas these days.

kidcoffee wrote :That's true for new shows as much as the old ones. Some of the stuff that passes for television on major networks is crazy. Not that we didn't have some stinkers in my youth, but man... it's reached the level of pathetic these days. You love this signature.

Well, at least there is a (possible) bright side for those who have been wanting The Simpsons to end. |

@blueluigi:
Al Jean says he's been wrong before, so... "Magic can happen to you."
